Dubrovnik Riviera is an ideal destination for a longer stay of tourists, because besides the charm that itself offers, it is also a tourist center from which tourists can go on various excursions in it's surroundings. Depending upon selected excursion one can use buses, vans, rent-a-car, boats and ships, or can go by own arrangement. From numerous excursions, we would like to recommend you the most important:

Dubrovnik panorama and sightseeing

Monuments of the Dubrovnik’s history and panoramic sightseeing of the town offering a unique view of the city walls, ancient rooftops and picturesque surroundings. It is recommended to visit Old City which is, because of its beauty and rich cultural heritage included in UNESCO's World Heritage Register. And really, this old, thick walls and towers surrounded city is a treasure of architecture and artworks which were jealously preserved for centuries... With a pleasant walk you will visit the Cathedral with it’s famous treasury, the Franciscan monastery with Europe’s oldest pharmacy, Rector's Palace, which was once used as the place where the government presided in the Republic of Dubrovnik.

Čilipi folklor

The small picturesque village of Čilipi is situated in south-western part of the Konavle field, 22 km from Dubrovnik. It is renowned for its famous embroidery, rich folk costumes and carefully maintained traditions and popular folk customs. If you visit Čilipi do not miss a Sunday Mass and the traditional Fair with quality home made products and original souvenirs, espcially the silk embroidery. After the Mass at the church, there will be folk dance performed by villagers, accompanied by Dalmatian music.

Ston

There are countless reasons to visit this medieval town on the outskirts of the former Dubrovnik Republic. Whether you take interest in historic sites and the longest monumental stone walls in Europe, in superior seafood and wines in some of the regions best restaurants or in the oldest running salt pan in the world and oysters farm, this is the place that has it all – something for everybody.

Island of Korcula

Korčula - hometown of Marco Polo, is one of the most attractive and best preserved towns from the medieval period in the Mediterranean. The people of Korčula- famous stonemasons, shipbuilders and seafarers, left their marks all over the world, but they saved their best works in their own city. You will have an experience of the narrow streets, beautiful churches and magnificent palaces of Korčula.

Peljesac wine tasting

On this tour you will visit the beautiful green scenery and blue bays of the Peljesac peninsula where you will enjoy extraordinary tastes of Dalmatian wines in the finest local winery's. Peninsula Peljesac is the most famous Croatian wine region with picturesque vineyards.

Mostar

Mostar is famous for the Old Bridge in the very center of the old city, which is under the UNESCO heritage. Mostar got it's name from word Mostar = bridge keeper. Old Bridge, a wonderful work of craftsmanship and architecture was made by architect Mimar Sinan, the same man that built Selimiye Mosque in Edirne. One of the favorite Mostar attractions is the Old Bazaar Kuyunjiluk where you can find many artisans selling their traditional hand made goods.

Medjugorje

Medjugorje - place of pilgrimage in western Herzegovina, 25 km southwest of Mostar and close to the border of Croatia. Today the town is best known due to reported apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary which appeared to six Herzegovinian Croats in 1981., and it is now visited by pilgrims from all around the entire world as a shrine. Feel the spirit of Medjugorje...after attending Mass possibility of visiting the place of apparitions.

Montenegro

Unique in many ways, with many natural beauties, beaches, clear lakes, fast rivers and gorgeous mountains and an abundance of historical sites. You can visit the towns Risan, Perast and Kotor, which is known for its nautical tradition and the famous Navy. After that, taking the winding road, overlooking the Bay of Kotor, you can go to Cetinje - the seat of Montenegrin rulers, today a city museum. On your way back to coast you can have a short stay on the viewpoint above St. Stefan. In Budva you can visit the old town.

River delta Neretva

History and natural beauty - trip in the Lower Neretva. This is a unique wetland area in Croatia with a variety of flora, fishes and birds. You can visit the excavations of ancient Narona (walls, temples, forum) in the small town of Vid, which for centuries layed covered under Neretva's mud. You can sail with boat typical for this area by river channels and you can end your trip with delicious lunch in one of many local restaurants.

Kanu safari

This "river adventure” takes you to some interesting karst areas of Herzegovina. Trebižat river is famous river of the Adriatic basin, with clean and warm water, beautiful canyons and magical waterfalls. Experienced canoeists will teach you how to manage a canoe during a voyage. After a short training you continue by the “river track”, which is calm and quiet in the beginning but later becomes faster and more exciting. In the afternoon you can relax and enjoy the scenery, swim in the clear river, and eat in the nature, in place Struga where your river adventure ends.

Mljet Island

Island Mljet - One of the most beautiful and densely wooded islands in the Adriatic, a national park with attraction of the two salt lakes - Big and Small, with the little island in the Big Lake and a Benedictine monastery from the 12th century on the island. By boat you can visit the island of St.Mary and spend some time in a pleasant walk through the pine trees and swimming in an unforgettable landscape of lakes or sightseeing of the monastery.

Three islands

The tour takes you to the Elaphite Archipelago where you can visit three largest islands in the group: Koločep, Šipan and Lopud. On their wooded slopes there are scattered many ruins of villas which belong to Dubrovnik aristocrats. After a brief retention and walks on the islands of Šipan and Koločep, you will sail to Lopud where you will visit the church of St. Mary from the 15th century and the local museum, followed by the leisure free time, spended by your desire till return.

Island Lopud

The island of Mediterranean, subtropical vegetation, beautiful gardens, parks and beaches, is one of the most developed tourist islands of the Dubrovnik area. In the past, captains island, had the highest compliance to Dubrovnik Republic marine. In the 16th century Lopud had 30 churches, numerous villas, several monasteries and many more people than today. On the island are the ruins of medieval churches, villas and fortifications. The island has a good boat connections to Dubrovnik from the port of Gruž.

Trsteno

Natural beauty and lush vegetation make Trsteno one of the most beautiful places in Dubrovnik area. Trsteno has a long cultural tradition, past residence in one of Dubrovnik's most famous families Gučetić (Gozze), who had the castle and estates. Gučetićs, poets and artists, great people and nature lovers grown todays "Arboretum" themselves. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful renaissance parks on our coast. Two giant trees, few centuries old, attracting the attention of all visitors and passers-by.

Slano

This is one of the most picturesque places in Dubrovnik area, in the tame bay long more than 2 km, with a beautiful beaches, with dense groves of pines and olive trees, with a long cultural tradition and numerous monuments of all time, starting from Prehistorical. Franciscan Church from 15th century is one of the nicest in this area. The Ducal Palace from the time of the Dubrovnik Republic has been preserved, also the mansion of well known Ohmučević family, whose members were skilled sailors and writers. From Slano the road leading to Zavala, Herzegovina, where is the famous karst cave "Vjetrenica" (14 km).

Island Lokrum

Eternally romantic beauty of the green island, near Dubrovnik, is a true oasis of peace and one of the most attractive holiday resorts of Dubrovnik and its visitors. With its picturesque beaches and coves, smell of the sea, pine trees, laurel and most vivid subtropical vegetation, with its ancient Benedictine monastery, and walks along the shadowy trail leaves unforgettable impressions. Today is a protected nature park. During the French occupation, on the tallest site of the island, was built the fortress "Fort Royal", which is now a viewpoint for the best views of Lokrum and complete Dubrovnik. Special attraction of Lokrum is its small lake, called the "dead sea". Biology Institute and Natural History Museum is located in the castle. Transportation to Lokrum is organized from the old port by tourist boats.

Cavtat

The old town situated on a hill of wooded peninsula of Rat, with a new settlements along the coast, Mediterranean landscape overgrown with green pines and cypresses. More than 7 km of the shallow coastline, clear waters, sandy beaches and coves, a beautiful new hotels high and de lux category made that the town became one of the most popular and most visited tourist destinations of the Dubrovnik area. The charm of the town is given by the buildings from the Republic of Dubrovnik, which this place built by the regulatory plan and gave its present appearance the old part of Cavtat. Most of historical monuments belonging to the architecture of the Renaissance period, with traces of Gothic: The Rector's Palace, forts, city walls, squares, Church St. Nicholas, Church of Lady of Cavtat and the Franciscan monastery. Over Dubrovnik airport Cavtat has excellent connections with the whole world, and has a large number of excellent restaurants.
